In Tanzania, the IDIN-supported Twende/AISE! innovation center provides workshop space to local innovators and also provides design and innovation training in nearby schools and communities.

IDIN’s institutional partner ECHO East Africa Impact Centre supports local innovators with small grants and technical assistance.

Two International Development Design Summits have been held in Tanzania, a maternal health-themed summit in 2013 and a full summit in 2014.

Tanzania also has a local alumni chapter based in Arusha.
