At IDIN, we’re all about learning, especially when it’s hands-on. Here we’ve compiled some of our favorite resources, many of which are used at our trainings and summits around the world.
Build-It instructions for a handheld maize sheller. This build-it is designed to be taught to a group of all skill levels, and teaches hands-on basic metalworking techniques to those that participate. This design requires a specific jig for crimping (blueprints included), which can be made by any metalworker with basic welding supplies.
This presentation features all of the Build-Its that were included as part of the curriculum at IDDS Climate Change. Participants created constructs using these designs, many of which were originally made by C-Innova innovators. Creating these products helped attendants learn and practice basic design and construction skills that will help them with many of the technical components of working on their own innovation projects.
