This June 17-23, help us celebrate the National Week of Making by getting your hands dirty and creating something with one of many great maker groups across the Boston area!
The following local spaces are offering public tours, events, or workshops for people just like you:
MIT D-Lab — N51, 3rd Floor, 265 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, MA
- Building a global network of innovators to design and disseminate technologies that meaningfully improve the lives of people living in poverty, home to the International Development Innovation Network
- Special tour: Wednesday, June 22 at 11am, please RSVP

MIT Museum Idea Hub — 265 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, MA
- Offering creative learning opportunities including making moving sculptures on Saturday, June 18 (12-4pm) and building a chain reaction on Sunday, June 19 (12-4pm)

Artisan's Asylum — 10 Tyler Street, Somerville, MA
- A nonprofit community workspace dedicated to learning, teaching, and the practice of fabrication
- Daily tours: Monday through Thursday, 2&8pm; Friday, 3pm; Saturday and Sunday, 2&8pm
- Maker Mondays, Monday, June 20 from 7-9pm, bring a current project or get inspired from some of our recycled materials!
- Circuit Hacking Night, Wednesday, June 22 from 6-8pm, come play with electronics at Artisan's Asylum, for newbies and experienced hackers alike
- Speaker Series: Building Your Brand, Thursday, June 23 from 7-8:30pm

Eliot School of Fine & Applied Arts — 24 Eliot Street, Boston, MA
- Inspiring lifelong learning in craftsmanship and creativity for all. Classes for all ages in our schoolhouse in furniture/wood, fiber/fashion, book arts and mixed media.

- A makerspace in Malden High School, where youth makers work to solve problems in their lives using engineering inquiry and computational thinking

Parts and Crafts — 577 Somerville Ave., Somerville, MA
- Family makerspace and community workshop
- Fixer Fair on Saturday, June 19 from 2-5pm in Union Square Plaza: Repairing things helps the environment, is more economical, and teaches engineering to adults and kids. Blenders, cell phones, toasters, bikes, art, clothes...how many items in your home need repair? Attendees can bring things that need repairing and learn how to repair them.

- Non-profit arts organization offering clay classes and workshops for adults, kids and teens; studio spaces for 38 professional ceramic artists and a retail gallery in Porter Square
- Tuttle Talk: NCECA 2016, Friday, June 17 from 6:30-8:30pm, a slide presentation from the recent national ceramics conference in Kansas City, free and open to the public
